Schaeffler receives Gildemeister Supplier of the Year Award
Schaeffler has received the “2011 Gildemeister Supplier of the Year Award” in the “Quality” category from Gildemeister, a leading global manufacturer of cutting machine tools, which has a wide range of innovative high-tech machines, services and software solutions. With this award, Gildemeister is honoring the high standards of quality that characterize both companies and that are essential both for surviving on the international market on a sustained basis and for long-term customer relationships.
“This award in the quality category is in recognition of Schaeffler as a supplier with whom we have been working with very closely for several decades. ‘Zero defects in all processes and products’ is not only one of Schaeffler’s corporate principles, but also the result of a continuous policy of high quality that has successfully been implemented at Gildemeister’, says Timo Rickermann, Head of Corporate Purchasing at Gildemeister AG.
The supplier award honors the successful teamwork of Gildemeister and Schaeffler. In their manufacturing processes and development projects, both companies place their trust in each other’s expertise and products. As an integral part of Gildemeister machine tools, Schaeffler’s entire product range of high-precision rotary table and spindle bearings, screw drive bearings, and numerous linear technology components provide cost-effectiveness and reliability.
